Sydney International Music & Fine Arts Festival welcomes independent music teachers, studios, schools, ensemble leaders, and arts and education organisations to become part of a growing Festival community connecting performance, music education and international exchange. Whether you teach one student, lead a chamber group, direct an ensemble or represent a school or music organisation, there are different ways to participate — and opportunities to grow your own professional connection with the Festival.

Connect Beyond Your Own Studio or School
SIMFAF seeks to connect teachers, students, artists, studios and schools from Sydney, across Australia and internationally. Through Festival performances, chamber music, workshops, masterclasses, rehearsals and cultural exchange, educators and students can become part of a wider musical community.
For educators, this can create opportunities to exchange ideas, develop professional relationships and explore future educational and artistic collaborations across cities and cultures.
Grow With the Festival
Future Artistic, Educational & Adjudication Opportunities
Experienced and appropriately qualified Partner Educators may also be considered for future professional roles within the Festival's artistic and educational programs.
Adjudicator
Contribute professional artistic judgement to Festival performance evaluation.
Masterclass Tutor
Lead learning sessions sharing expertise with Festival participants.
Workshop Leader
Facilitate practical, hands-on artistic workshops.
Panel Speaker
Share perspective at Festival discussions and events.
Guest Educator / Adviser
Support artistic or educational program development as a guest educator or adviser.
These opportunities are not linked simply to the number of students an educator brings to the Festival. Professional involvement is considered separately according to relevant qualifications, teaching and/or performance experience, specialist expertise, professional standing, Festival program requirements and review by the Organising Committee.

SIMFAF welcomes applications from educators and organisations with a genuine connection to music, performing arts, arts education or cultural exchange.
Applications are considered with reference to the following principles:
Professional Relevance
A genuine professional, teaching, artistic or organisational connection to music, performing arts or related education.
Commitment to Education
A demonstrated interest in supporting student development, artistic learning and positive educational experiences.
Professional Conduct
A commitment to professional, respectful and responsible engagement with students, families, artists, educators and Festival participants.
Alignment with Festival Values
Support for the Festival's commitment to artistic quality, education, collaboration and meaningful international cultural exchange.
Applications are reviewed by the Festival Organising Committee. Acceptance into the SIMFAF Educator & Partner Network is at the discretion of the Festival.

Membership
Membership of the SIMFAF Educator & Partner Network does not automatically qualify an applicant for an artistic, educational or adjudication role.
Professional Roles
Professional Festival roles are considered separately according to qualifications, relevant professional experience, specialist expertise, artistic or educational standing, Festival requirements and Organising Committee review.
